BREW TIPS

BREW THE PERFECT CUP OF COFFEE

Follow our tips and feel the jitter begin with our brewing technique.

DRIP COFFEE

COFFEE

33g / 4tbsp

GRIND

Medium-Fine

WATER

500ml

TEMP

Traditional drip coffee is made in a homebrewer that automatically controls the brewing duration and the volume and temperature of the water. The key to brewing the perfect cup is to use high-quality, freshly ground coffee beans and clean, filtered water. We recommend using a gold filter; however, any filter will create a clean, mold-free cup of coffee!

METHOD

Place coffee grounds in the filter basket, spread evenly and level off. Fill water reservoir with 500ml of water. Press start button to begin brew cycle.

Brew time varies depending on the machine. Makes two 8 ounce cups of coffee.

AEROPRESS

COFFEE

20g

GRIND

Medium-Fine

WATER

160ml

TEMP

195-205f

A piston-style brewer that forces coffee through a thin paper filter directly into a cup. A rapid brewing process extracts the most flavour from your beans, giving you more rich, pure-tasting coffee with no grit, no bitterness, and less acidity. Its size and durability make it a favourite coffee device among travellers and campers.

METHOD

With the aeropress inverted, pour 160ml water onto coffee and stir. Let steep for one minute. Scrape off surface oils with spoon. Screw filter cap on and flip over onto decanter. Gently press until you hear a hiss. Lastly, dilute the brew with about 25ml of water, or adjust to your preference for strength.

FRENCH PRESS

COFFEE

15g

GRIND

Medium

WATER

225ml

TEMP

195-205f

A delicious and customizable way to brew your morning cup of joe. This will vary depending on your taste, but we recommend a ratio of 1:15. That means that for every 15 grams or ml of water you should use 1g of ground coffee. Adjustments should always be made slowly by adding small amounts of coffee at a time until you reach the desired strength for your personal preference.

METHOD

Pour water over coffee and stir. About mid-way through (2:00) give the coffee another stir. Slowly begin plunging at 3:30, for a total brew time about 4 minutes. Decant and enjoy.
